Last-minute Easter Ideas

Easter is only a couple of days away and for many that includes a faith-based service and baskets of Easter eggs and candy for the children. A dinner celebration generally includes a traditional Easter ham and all the trimmings. The following are some quick last-minute suggestions to be ready for Easter.

  • A quick Easter bunny that doubles as a treat bag
  • Melted crayon over eggs for kids
  • Deviled eggs for adults
  • Ham or pork tenderloin with roasted vegetable casserole that is easy to prepare
  • Lemon cheesecake for dessert
  • No vase for your table. Paint a coffee can and add flowers
  • Add plastic colored Easter eggs to glass jars and containers
  • Plastic eggs with names printed seated on top of a paper holder for place cards
  • Print out coloring pages for the kids

If you have pets, remember that all this delicious food is not safe for your cat or dog. Chocolate is toxic to cats and dogs so keep the baskets with those goodies far away. Vomiting and diarrhea are the symptoms of chocolate poisoning. Pets that have ingested chocolate should be seen by a veterinarian immediately. Onions and garlic used in your food can also be harmful to pets.

As Easter passes, the thought of life insurance should be a serious consideration. If the unexpected were to occur, it is important to make sure your loved ones are protected.
